IYAA Football and Cheer Signups will end August 20th


IYAA Football and Cheerleading Signups will end Saturday, August 20th. We still need players and cheerleaders, so if you would like to sign your child up, this article lists the signup options available to parents. All past players as well as newcomers are welcome to sign up!!!

Tae Kwon Do Students Compete in Tournament

On May 14th, some students from the Hillsboro Unified Tae Kwon Do School located at 125 W Elm Hillsboro, Texas competed in an invitational tournament in Austin, Texas. Among the students who competed were Juan Salas and two of his daughters from Frost, Texas. Juan returned home with two first place trophies, one in patterns and one in sparring. Analy and Joana returned home with trophies as well.

Michael Bryant earns Black Belt

On November 30, 2012 Michael along with his mom and dad, came to visit the Hillsboro Unified Tae Kwon Do located at 125 W Elm-Hillsboro. After participating in a few free classes Michael decided martial arts was for him. He has competed in many tournaments and has come home with many first place trophies.

Italy’s Select Softball Review


The future is bright for the Italy Lady Gladiators. Although the high school group is fielding the lowest number of select players they have fielded in the 21st century, six of their younger minions have taken up their bats, gloves, and gear to play select on a variety of teams in North Texas.

Basketball Tournament, July 8th-9th hosted by Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Italy


It’s that time again! Calling all hoopers /ballers to meet us on the hardwood, Friday, July 8th, thru Saturday, July 9th, If you have what it takes! $130 entry fee per team. Admissions will be $2 for kids and $3 for Adults. Basketball tournament benefits Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Italy with Pastor Preston Dixon. Being held inside George E. Scott Coliseum at Italy High School.

Italy topples Itasca 14-3 to wrap up their 2016 district campaign while honoring 8 seniors during Senior Night at Loyd Davidson Field. Caps off to 2016 seniors Levi McBride, Micah Escamilla, Jorge Galvan, Ryan Connor, Hunter Merimon, Clayton Miller, Austin Crawford and Ty Windham for their dedication throughout their careers at Italy High School!

State track meet shirts are available to order


State track meet shirts are available to order. Cost for all shirts is $16. Shirt design is attached to the email. Please make checks payable to Italy ISD. Please leave your order and payment with Mrs. Ballard at the high school front office. Orders are needed as soon as possible. If you have any questions please contact Coach Campbell at 254-855-5716.

Gladiator Athletic Booster Club meeting planned for Monday, April 18

The Gladiator Athletic Booster Club will be calling a meeting to discuss the details of the Spring Athletic Banquet. We are asking anyone interested in helping with this event to please join us. All senior parent athletes are invited as well to discuss decorating the dome. The meeting will be held Monday, April 18th at 6pm in the Italy High School Library.
