The Italy Police Department would like to invite the community in participating in “National Night Out.”
It’s America’s Night Out Against Crime!
The “30th Annual National Night Out” (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled in Texas for Tuesday, October 1st, 2013.
The Italy Police Department will host a family friendly event at the downtown Italy Pavilion. There will be face painting, bounce houses, music, free food, drawings and more!
Ronald McDonald will be there too! He will be on hand to entertain the kids from 6:30 to 7:30.
The Italy Police Department will also have a fundraiser at the event for Shop with a Hero. For just a $5.00 donation, you can shoot 5 shots at a police officer with a paintball gun. The target balls are balls with Velcro that will stick to a special vest that the officers wear for training. The vests and balls were recently used during their active shooter training at the schools.
Also, there will be a table for teams to sign up for the 1st Annual Shop with a Hero Dodgeball tournament coming up in October. The cost is $100.00 per team of 6-10 people. All of the proceeds go to Shop with a Hero.
Please join us to promote a safe City of Italy!
