This event, sponsored by the Italy Gladiator Band Boosters, will feature three games between four teams — Guns-n-Hoses, Arse Kickers, Hollywood’s Heroes and State Champs of ’97. Josh Droll will lead the Guns-n-Hoses group, a combination of firefighters and police officers; Jesus Perez will lead the Arse Kickers, band members and supporters; Hank Hollywood will lead coaches and local athletes; and former Dallas Cowboy Keith Davis will join with former IHS teammates from the 1997 state winning basketball team.
The first 125 students – ages 12 and under — to arrive with a ticket and a parent will receive a ticket to ride the donkeys during the halftime breaks.
A few “cheerleaders” will be there to entertain the audience and cheer on the players. Unfortunately, they may be a bit homely.
There will be a concession stand with hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos and Frito pies.
The first game begins at 6 p.m. but doors open to the public at 5 p.m.
Mark Stiles, band booster president, urges everyone to come out and enjoy this event which promises to be a night of laughs and entertainment safe for the whole family.
